ABOUT: Dr. Beane is a Presidential Innovation Professor and Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University. She is also Collaborating Faculty with the research group of Dr. Yong Li, Division Chief of Medical Engineering at WMU's Homer Stryker School of Medicine. Dr. Beane got her PhD at Duke University in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology, and her BS at Averett University in Biomedical Sciences. She also holds a BA in English Literature.
